- Gain credibility, allow fans to provide feedback.
- Educate your audience on what services you provide or what products you have.
- Give you fans another place to make inquiries.
- Increase your Search Engine Optimisation.
- Drive more traffic to your website/blog.
Ultimately all of the above leads to more business, for some businesses it can be an immediate conversion for others it takes a bit longer but increases the opportunities in being reached.
In traditional marketing we often speak about ROI (return on investment) so when we look at Facebook ads and/or content and the time we put into each of these platforms we have an expected ROI and whilst page likes are nice for the ego, how much per $ worth is attributed to each of those likes?
We have had customers who shall remain nameless at this point, who have gone to websites such as Fivver to buy 500 likes and whilst it helps in the short term for the ego boost and might look nice, the dollar per like value drops significantly because the purchased likes are either fake, or not even in the country of your target market and so the conversion into them buying any of your products or services is zero.
Some food for thought:
If you attributed $1 to each page like, how many dollars would you have?
If you attributed $10 to 10% of your likes, how many dollars would you have?
